After comparing T-Mobile and Samsung trade in promotions of $400, I can get the 23U 512 GB for far less monthly payments vs T-Mobile trade in prices. T-Mobile wants $51 a month for 256 gb and Samsung is $44 for the 512 GB a month., this is going through T-Mobile monthly EIP program. How does Samsung charge less than T-Mobile? Are there hidden fees that adds up the difference in price? I would go with the unlocked version for far cheaper but I want the T-Mobile features that the unlocked version doesn’t have.

Without looking at the current promotions, it's hard to say, When I pre-ordered my S23U, T-Mobile was cheaper overall due to the way the trade-in credit works.

Hope things work out for you as this device is well worth the money and time to get! :D

What kind of promotion did you have when you pre ordered?

This is from one of my previous posts, but here is the deal I took:

1. You get Instant Credit Trade Value (in my case, for Fold 3, $161)
2. If there is a Promotion (in this case $1000 trade), they take the instant credit (in my case the $161), and subtract that from the $1000 (again, for me $161-$1000=$839)
3. The remaining credit ($839) will be applied to your bill monthly over 24 months (for me, it's $34.96/mo)
4. The cost for the phone on Payment Plan is $50/mo. They take the credit ($34.96/mo) and subtract it from the monthly cost ($50-$34.96 = $15.04), so the monthly payment to buy the phone is $15.04/mo added to your bill over 24 months.
Aren't carrier prices over 24-months while Samsung's is over 36-months?
Yes, this is the case for me, so another reason I took the carrier deal. 1 less year of payments.

Plus with unlocked they take out all the TMobile features that I tend to use and enjoy.
