Oreo Download Corrupt

HTC finally sent me a new U11 after holding my broken one hostage for 3 months.

I set it all up and start the Oreo update download only to get the message below. I tried a couple times and same thing. Restarted phone, nothing. Factory reset phone, nothing.

Can anyone help?

I got this a dozen times between the last two updates. It's so damn annoying. It seemed hit and miss for me, but my recollection is that it seemed to work after I cleared cache and downloaded over Wi-Fi. I think I actually pulled my SIM/microSD to get the first update. But if you try, and it's corrupt, you absolutely should clear cache before trying again. And not through settings. Clear it through recovery.
