oreo - update or not??

i just got the oreo update notification today. given i have read a lot of issues from other members after the update, i wonder if this is worth updating

i have been pretty happy with android 7.0.1 and have not had any major issues with it.

any thoughts??

Only issue with this option is security updates. I would have done the same and stuck with Nougat but I only had 1 security update since launch!
Only issue with Oreo for me is no option to set a personalised message tone to different contacts but that's not enough reason for me not to update, everything else is fine.

Update to Oreo if you have any issues factory reset and it will improve everything hope this helps

There are a few apps that aren't optimized for Oreo, so it depends on if you use any. I know on my phone Firefox crashes constantly, Ring video doorbell app lost a lot of functionality and Tone and Talk isn't working right.

I've been deferring the update for 2 weeks and will continue to do so for many more until I see another update that fixes a lot of the things I've seen here on the forums.

i will defer updating to oreo for a while until i see more positive feedback. i am not in any hurry and most importantly everything is working good with android 7 for now.

do you know any way to get rid of the, now permanent, notification? I had everything set to not take updates and I'm getting the not anyway.
