Oreo Update?

I am using page plus as my carrier on my s7 sm-g930v and from browsing the web I am confused because there seems to be an Oreo update that I seem to have missed. Is there in fact official Oreo running on the s7? I have tried selecting search for updates but I keep getting the phone is up to date lol. Software Version g930vvrs4bra1

Is there a reason the device hasn't updated? Am I safe to do the update manually?

Even though Page Plus uses Verizon towers, I think the phone still has to be on Verizon's own network in order to get the official system update (since your phone is the specific Verizon variant). You could try using Smart Switch, but I'm not sure that gets around that limitation.

I know in the past I did receive the official updates even being on page plus. I was thinking of using odin to do the updates, I wonder if it will help with an issue I have with network connection. I have to call voicemail to establish a connection each time the phone is restarted, otherwise the status stays in a searching for service mode. Any tips on doing the upgrade through odin? Not a big deal for me to do a factory reset if need be

I'd still try Smart Switch first, since that's the official Samsung app. Otherwise, here's a link to the Odin guide: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...w-flash-stock-rom-via-odin-new-interface.html. I don't have direct experience, but if you need help, we could always see if Rukbat (who wrote that guide) can chime in.

If your on Verizon , they also have there own update firmware tool you can download

You should see better performance, Oreo was a good Android version on Samsung.
