Does anybody know if this will ever receive ICS update? Maybe JellyBean????

The HTC EVO 4g will not receive ICS or Jelly Bean updates from Sprint. If you are willing to root your phone various ICS ROMs are available to use now.

Most, if not, all, single cores will not be receiving official ICS and JB.

Although it may technically be out to pasture, I still find my Evo4G relevant in the smartphone arena and not sure if I'm ready to upgrade just yet. With a root and good rom flash (multiple ICS flavors to choose from), I have almost all of the features and functionality that the new flagship phones have. I'm sure I'll be rockin' JB soon enough.

I love JB it will be even better as more of the updates get released but its still great I don't really mind some of he features that don't work because I know once it becomes more stable those issues will be fixed

not sure if I'm ready to upgrade just yet..

My problem too. I've looked at the new EVO and S3, neither one gave me the same thrill as the first time I held my og EVO. I just can't see signing another contract for a phone that underwhelms me.
