OT: 100% of Fascinate Users Ignoring iPhone

The iPhone isn't a BAD device. For what it is, it's a very solid piece of hardware and software. The main reason I do not like it is because I don't like Apple's attitude towards just about everything.

With that being said, I'm perfectly content with Android and the iPhone has never tempted me.

I agree. And, like it or not, the iPhone is the standard by which the media and a lot of the public measure whether a phone is "good" these days. The more "iPhone-like" something is, the better they perceive it to be. (It's not fair, but I think it's a fact.)

Apple intrusion drives me nuts, too. Apple tends to act as is they "own" your device (and everything on it), and users are merely "renting" its use.

Customer support is a good thing; perpetual control isn't.

I for one like apple products, Macbook Pro, Ipod Touch owner, However I like the openness of the android platform and have no intention of ever switching to the Iphone. A big part of liking Android is this board and the fantastic work being done here and at xda by so many great people. My hats off to this community of helpful people. thank you everyone! btw my first post...

LOL. I'm talking about the way the media compares everything to the iPhone. It's the yardstick for every review.

Lol. I know. There a few things that get my blood goin and that stupid pos is one of them. That jack*** stve wants all the little mindless automitons to bow down and worship him, and live in the pretty little cage he has made for them.

Boy, howdy! And they line up for the privilege...

If only he would use his powers for the good...

Whatever they're doing to install brand loyalty has turned into blind devotion in a lot of people.
At least one of the things they do that increases brand loyalty is to charge more $. People have to justify that extra expense somehow.

I hear so many people say "Well I make a ton of money on their stock!" Ya, you should understand that their products are over priced, and they don't serve their customers, they serve their stock holders. That's why you have to use iTunes for EVERYTHING. It's so they can blast you with non stop advertising and force you to pay for even the most idiotic stuff.

<<I truly wish Apple well -- they make good products and they have pushed the market toward cool new things. But their users are insane -- it's like if you mated Amway salesmen with televangelists and feed them a lot of crack>>.

ROFLMAO. Amway salesmen + televangelists + crack!!! = Apple Users.
:D What an equation!

Ya. Anybody remember the Simpsons "Mapple" episode? Where Lisa was given a "MyPod" and promptly ran up a $3,000 bill? They nailed it in that one!:p
