OTA Update 2.11.605.9

I rooted my Thunderbolt many months ago. Ever since this OTA came out I have been having to reboot the phone a couple times a day because the phone tries to load the files and can't because of the root. I really have zero technical abilities and was only able to root the phone originally because of a YouTube tutorial. I have finally grown weary of the constant reboots and want to figure out what needs to be done to download this update and still keep the boot. The main reason for booting in the first place was to make the phone a WiFi hotspot. Can someone point me to where I can find an easy way to do this? Or can someone explain easily how to do this? I have tried to read the threads on this, but as soon as the thread starts getting technical with all of the abbreviations and all I get lost. Thanks.

I read in the forums if you flash a custom Rom you won't get those updates anymore.

This might help. I have not done this myself but i think it could be the solution to stopping your phone from attempting download (dl) the OTA and keep you rooted at 2.11.605.9

Flashing a custom ROM would also prevent your phone from dl the OTA, but if you like Sense (stock ROM) this could be more suited for you.
