Can anyone tell how to keep my phone up to date after rooting .
I like to have root access because of the move apps to sd as I only have a 16gb note 2 .
Would I be right in thinking I use triangle away to reset counter then do the restore and wipe data and re root after apdate or is ther an easier way. I have reset the phone a couple of times now and have had to install all the apps I have

The easiest way is to simply flash a stock pre rooted Rom. Much easier than unrooting and they are normally out the same day as the ota update starts being pushed.

Could you tell me where I can get a pre rooted stock rom from ?

Even with root access you still cant properly move apps to sd card. There is a way to swap internal for external memory but if you are willing to go that far to do it you should know where to get a pre rooted stock rom. XDA is where all these things come from. As far as regular updates go though you can flash them individually whenever you want since you are rooted. The 2 most recent update for att, 1 is maybe 15megabytes and the other is 68megs. If att is your carrier you can download them and flash accordingly. You can find everything I just mentioned on the note 2 forums at xda.

Thanks for info .
Iam using GL to SD to move all game data To sd card and it does the job very well No problems .
If I flash pre rooted stock 4.2.2 over the top of 4.1.2 do you think it might cause any problems with apps has anyone had issues in doing this?
I live in uk and am on the three network.

If you are rooted AND you have TWRP as your recovery then you can download goomanager from the playstore. If you have CWM as your recovery you can still use goomanager but in the options for goomanager you can have it reflash to TWRP recovery(I think its the best but opinions may differ). Follow the instructions below to download the newest updates for your phone. Dont unzip the zips and preferably just download them direct to your phone. Come back here when you have everything ill walk you through it. The process is the same you just need the baseband updates which only come from the carrier and the kernel and os updates from samsung. I just checked at xda and that site is better setup for US users. However, www.sammobile.com has a firmware checking guild so you just enter your info and then it will let you download the newest updates individually. http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/ Flashing a simple 4.2.2, which last I checked is not out for anyone anywhere on a note 2, the os update does not come with the baseband and kernel stuff.
If you are seeing 4.2.2 on some random forums those are cyanogen mods (roms) not official samsung firmwares

Im was kinda bored so I did some searching. (Waiting for class to start)
Anyhow, do what I said above to manually download any updates and save them on your phone, do have an sd card? There may be an even easier way to update, I dont want to get your hopes up so ill just say this. Please list your current model number, carrier network, baseband and kernel. Baseband and kernel can be found in settings...about phone section.

Sammobile has a fairly large download at just over 1000megs and comes as the most recent update. Unfortunately you have to signup to download it, and I dont know if it comes with the baseband upgrades like i was talking about. I did a very basic search for it on XDA but with you being overseas AND with an international model I just dont know if im giving you all the correct info.

XDA has ALOT of forums and since they are pretty much the center for basically all things root and android that is the place to start searching.
I apololigize if I got your hopes up but I really wasnt prepared to hear that you were in another country. It may infact be easier to unroot, do your updates and then reroot. XDA has all the answers you seek though, thats where i do my searches when I run into things I dont know about.
