Otg plug in

Well that definitely sounds broken, you can get them on Amazon or ebay for less than a tenner if you need a new one

I have 2 and neither will work, wondering if they need to go in further like the charge cable. But they won't go any further, so, guess if I want one will order on Amazon and hope it fits.
Thanks

Just checked, they fit in a Samsung S8+.
So guess maybe that's why they don't work in my note 10+?
Guess we didn't get one with our new note.

You've already tried cleaning out the phone's USB port? Use a can of compressed air to blow it out, and a fine toothpick (not metal) to root around.

No I haven't, my charging cable fits, no problem connecting. But I will if you think it will help.
Did we have one in box with our note?
This is what I'm talking about and have a white one, both are same size.

Yep definitely one in the box with the Note 10 plus 5G, just checked my box but I'm fairly sure older versions would work as well

Thanks, I thought one came with. They both connect to s8. Guess I'll try B. Diddys suggestion.

Well, thanks B. Diddy and j_hansen for your help.

B.Diddey, thanks for suggestion to use air to clean. I did, and in looking at it, I could tell around pen, charging port, etc was dirty.
Took off my case, cleaned it and the problem was the case on it, it was to thick, keeping the otg from connecting all the way.

Thanks.

Aha! I'm glad you figured it out. That's the problem with some of these cases -- they don't give enough room around the USB port for certain plugs.

Yeah, I'm glad I figured it out to. ;-)
Can I take photo's off my phone and put on a flash drive?

You should be able to with that OTG adapter. I don't have a Samsung phone, so I don't know for sure if My Files recognizes an external drive, but I would guess it does.

Probably does , but should also prompt smart switch lol

Yes, flash drive or actual hard drive honestly. I have and use both regularly.

Can you tell me how to move photos from my gallery and put on flash drive connected with otg.
I can see the usb, but everything is grayed out.
Am I suppose to do something else.. That's easy. ;-)
I know I can connect to my laptop and transfer photos to it then put them on flash drive. But was hoping could do right from phone.

If you click the *search* and then do a search for *Default USB* then click Default USB Configuration and change from the Charging Only option to:
Transferring Files/Android Auto
Obviously you need to enable Developer Mode if you haven't already done so.
I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but it's worth a try
