OTG support?

I'm going to be optimistic and hope so.

However its likely it does not (easily) since they are using slimport and because LG went with slimport the nexus 4 has a very hacky implementation of USB OTG. For the 4 you have to use a special cable to supply power and allow a device to be attached while running a custom kernel.

Maybe if we bump this along an AC staff member can test this on their brand new nexus 7?

I'd be interested to know this as well, but also don't have high hopes.

The reddit post of the guy that got one early had an OTG cable and he said that the LED lit up, so it should support it with Nexus Media Importer (it may require an update).

Boo. It looks like it's got the same restrictions the original Nexus 7 had. Need Nexus Media Importer to see USB sticks and it's read only. Plus the app needs to be updated, it doesn't scale properly on the higher res screen.

USB devices don't show up in Solid Explorer for me.

you got it to work? It won't find my thumb drive when I insert it. What is the format you are using?
