"Other" in storage taking up 45GB?

I'm having a weird problem with the internal storage on my Galaxy s9. I noticed the issue a few days ago, and I've been trying to get to the bottom of it, without any luck.

I'm supposed to have 64GB of memory on my internal storage. I noticed it was getting full, which I thought was strange since I don't have too much stored on my phone. I took a look at the breakdown, and I have about 1GB of Images, 3GB of Videos, and not much else. However, at the bottom of the list, there is a category called "Other", and it's taking up a whopping 45GB of storage. That's like... 30 movies being stored on my phone! The strange thing is, I can't access these files in any way. I have no idea what they are, or where they are being stored.

I've tried to analyze it using apps, as well as connecting it to my laptop, but for whatever reason, I cannot find the files in "Other" that are taking up 45GB. All of the analysis says I'm using 50GB of my 64, but I can only account for 5 of those.

I found some other people having the same issue on Samsung's community website and tried all the fixes that were suggested (such as clearing recently deleted gallery files), but nothing is making any difference. It also appears that Samsung is not doing anything to address this issue, as there are a decent number of people experiencing this.

Basically, I want to see if anyone else has had or is having this same issue and if there are any known fixes for it.

Welcome to Android Central! You don't use Kik Messenger, do you? Have you also tried DiskUsage to get a better idea of what's taking up your storage?
