We all know how short the battery life is on our wonderful TBs, but im wondering how does everyone recharge their phone while on the go? Do you use anything besides an extra wall charger or car adapter? I've been toying around with the idea of getting one of those external battery chargers on amazon or even a solar charger. Looking forward to your thoughts

The extended battery from HTC solved all these problems for me. Before that I charged from a Usb cable from my work computer.

Been curious about those well. To be honest, I just turn 4G off if I'm going to be away from power for an extended amount of time -- I can easily get around 24 full hours off a single charge if I do.

I have two wall chargers to charge my 1400 & 2750 mAh spare batteries. I've considered getting a larger external battery to charge both of these when I'm away from an outlet but haven't really needed to do this yet.

By the way, my cheap Chinese wall charger does not charge the battery fully so I prefer to use my Seidio wall charger.

Thanks, Robrecht

I have separate chargers for home/work and for my car. Whenever I am driving i plug it in.
And just today, I got the charging dock/pod (Seidio Multi-Function Battery Charger) in the mail to charge my spare battery (extended battery that i bought along with the phone on day 1) independently. I generally use the stock battery on the phone and keep the extended battery as back up. I like the extended battery but it does not fit into my car cradle. Otherwise i would have made it the primary battery for my TB.

Home charger that also charges my extra (OM sized) battery at the same time and a car charger. I pocket the extra battery and swap them in the afternoon. I don't want to buy anything else for this phone, least of all anything as cumbersome as a solar charger or an external battery charger.

I bought a package of 2 external battery chargers, one small and one large. The small one has a capacity of about 2Ah (about 1.5 x the stock battery), the large one about 7Ah (about 5 x the stock battery). The small one effectively serves as a backup battery, and the larger one is for long distance travel.

I ordered a New Trent IMP500 at Amazon today Amazon.com: New Trent ifuel IMP500 5000mAh External Battery pack and Charger for Apple iPhone 4 4G 3Gs 3G (AT&T and verizon), iPod Touch (1G 2G 3G 4G), Motorola Droid, HTC Android EVO, Blackberry, Kindle DX, Samsung EPIC, Samsung Galaxy Tablet, Samsu
My primary use for it will be on long bike rides when running the GPS full time. This option made more sense to me than the extended battery as it can be used for other USB charged devices we have. On a typical day, I don't need to recharge the standard battery.

I have a Lenmar PPU2400(?) battery pack. It is fairly compact and easy to charge. It will recharge the TB almost twice.

I have done a lot of testing and measuring of solar chargers for when I camp. I bought a couple of small solar charger/battery packs. Solar is garbage. I would almost say it is a scam, almost. But it actually does work if you thing HUGE and EXPENSIVE. Just that you need over 1 square foot of area to generate enough power to get 24 hours out of the thunderbolt. Think VERY large of you want anything real. Or in the case of the small ones, it needs to sit in the sun for days and days to store enough energy for maybe half a charge of the TB battery. If you are paying less then $100 for the solar setup, don't expect much.

This looks like a good thing. But it is only 1200MaHr, so you wouldn't get a full charge from it.

make sure your chargers are >1 amp or else they will charge significantly slower. also charging from a computer charges MUCH slower b/c computer USB ports arent rated to provide the same amount of power as a wall/car charger. always make sure it's >= 1amp.
