Otter box cases are out in stores

Both the Defender and the Ballistic cases provide excellent drop protection. However, this thread is specific to OB.

They work well either way. I took mine off and during memorial day, i dropped my Iphone 4s in a bowl of dog water. though i ninja grabbed it out, the phone had only 1 problem. It would not shut off it would just restart. Once i restored it i had no problems. I thank my otter box best thing for these really nice phones.

I have an HD invisible shield screen protector, with a Ballistic case. I can't believe that I spent almost 80 bucks protecting this phone, but my ending result is phenomenal. The case gives me the drop protection up to 12 feet and the screen protector is almost unnoticeable. I don't use the added screen protector as the does make the phone display a bit cloudy. I would recommend this set up to anyone that is serious about protection and visibility.

I'm the fool who has spent $59 for the Defender, $50 for the Maxxx, and $130 on a square trade warranty. More than I paid for the phone.

I believe that Zagg does. You may want to quit while you are ahead with so much invested in cases versus the cost of the phone.

Haha yeah. I use my phone a lot for many different purposes and I hold on to them for minimum 2 years.

I don't mind because they are basically almost a laptop replacement for me.

On my last iphone I burned through three cases. The free feather case broke, but did a surprisingly good job with screen protector. Then OB defender did a great job, but the screen got scratched up and wasn't any good. Then a switch easy case that eventually broke before getting this phone. I also didn't have insurance.

One problem I had was the defender was so good, even though the phone stayed safe after many bumps, drops, etc (even in snow piles) over time the speaker for the ear and Bluetooth radio lost some function. I think they were knocked loose. I couldn't hear phone calls and my bt signal would cut out easily.

I figure I'll have minimum two cases for this phone, plus a screen protector. Even still, I may have to use the insurance. I'm just paying up front and doing my research while people are interested and posting about it. :D
