Otterbox and Tech 21 new case line for s9. What about Note 8?

Both tech 21 and Otterbox are releasing new style of more protective cases for the s9 line. Otterbox has an $80 case that is supposed to be more protective than the Defender. Tech 21 releasing a Max case. Both have not been extended to the Note as of now.

They did have an Evo Tactical XT case for the Note 7 which was an outstanding case. I don't think this is fair that they didn't extend it to the Note line.

Well note is out now. I don't see many new cases coming out. Wouldn't make sense. And the difference is the spen and popularity. You'll get more cases for more mainstream devices. That's just the way it is. The note is popular but not as much as the s line. That's how it goes.

True. However, it seems samsung touts the Note to be their flagship when it comes out. Isn't the Note their premier device? Except for last year the S8 Plus was their premier device until the Note 8 came out due to the Note 7 disaster.

It's always the same. Samsung will talk up whatever device they have coming out. That's the name of the game. To get you excited so you buy their stuff. And actually the S Line is their flagship device for the simple reason is thats their most popular line. Not to say the Note line isn't important to them. They have a strong following for the Note series for sure and it also is popular. Just not as much as the S Line. All comes down to numbers.

But Samsung will brag their latest device is the best and it almost always is in terms of specs and new features. Right now it's the S9. Soon it will be replaced by the Note 9 and round and around we go.

I like the new cases that came out as well, doubtful they will have note 8 versions but I am hoping they will have note 9 versions

In general, Best Buy, carriers, Wal-mart don't carry as huge of a selection of cases for the Note as they do for the iphones and S line.

Which I think is dumb because it's Samsung's highest priced and most premium of their 3 main devices.

Browsing Amazon, Tech21, and the local mall I see no shortage in variety of Note 8 cases. There seems like there's something for just about every woman and man (see what I did there? ).

On and close to release they don't have a ton in stock. After a few months the Note cases come around more. For the S line, Best Buy by me already has a ton in stock for the s9. For the Note at release, not so much.

Aren't the S line Samsung's mainstream device's? Their iPhone competitors? That's why.

Would you say the Note is more of a niche device for the hardcore type power users? Like the S series is geared for more typical people, teens like the iPhone generally is. Just from marketing and stuff in general the S line is geared for those type of people. Like the new Emoji thing and such.

However, Samsung has marketed the Note more heavily though making it seem that is their main flagship. It is their highest end device.

Yeahp. The iPhones, IMO, are mainstream device's, just like the S line. The Note, I see, as a device geared towards productivity...more of that niche device.

True. I see the Note as more of a device people on this forum or XDA use. Who are really into high end devices and productivity and power users.
