Anyone no if otterbox will be bringing out a case out for the nexus 5? Always been a big fan of their cases.

Probably, they've supported Nexus in the past so I can't see any reason not to support the best yet.

On its Facebook page just after the launch of the Nexus 5, Otterbox stated that it does not intend to make cases for the Nexus 5 (it was in a response to a user post).

I do love OtterBox's cases, but the company seems to have decided to stop make then for the Nexus line after the GNex. None for the N4 or the N5. As much as we love these phones, the numbers sold probably pale in comparison to most other devices.

Seidio made a comparable case (to the defender) for the N4, so maybe they'll do the same for the N5.

No Otterbox for my N5, however, they make a Defender for my G2, which it is happily wearing. So, looks like the G2 will have rugged duty and the N5 will have to be the looker.

Checked with Otter Box on their Facebook page. There are several people asking them the same question. Otter Box is issuing the same canned response that they don't have plans or will take it into consideration. We have to remember the last Nexus case they made was for a Samsung device which falls in line with the widespread availability of cases for Apple and Samsung products that they offer.

Not quite. They did make an Otterbox for the Nexus 7 2012, but shortly after release, they pulled it from their online store.

Otterbox is dumb and I'm sick of their huge support and 15 different colors with 4 different models for iPhones, but they can't make a few for the best phone of 2013. Google can't even keep them in stock.

Trident and Ballistic are better and cheaper in price than otterbox anyways.

They told me for a year that they had no intentions of making a case for the Galaxy Note 10.1 and then they did. So i'm holding out hope that they'll make one for the N5. However, I already have the Spigen Neo Hybrid and soon the Google case so I probably wont buy an Otter even if they do release it. I too am sick of the hundreds of options they offer for the iPhone's IMMEDIATELY upon release but they can't pump out any love for Android outside of Samsung. In my opinion, a great case manufacturer wants to have a massive device portfolio so that people always know there's an otterbox available for them. You buy a new phone, you go to Otterbox's website and order your case for it. If they'd do that, I'm certain that they'd gain even more market share and it wouldn't hurt financially. When you have the capabilities that they do, I have a hard time believing that it's not worth their time or money to enter different specifications into a machine and create a wider variety for more devices.

Agreed. Just got my Ballistic SG MAXX and I love it. I feel like I could throw it across a concrete parking lot.
