Hi,

This is my first post on these forums so sorry if I don't cover everything in exact detail as you guys usually like it.

My first upgrade to a touch screen phone is the galaxy s3 model i9305 here in Australia. So far I've been more than happy with the phone itself and looked for a solid case to protect the fragile little thing (my old phone was a nokia and was practically a brick :D ). So in my search for a case I came upon the Otterbox Commuter both on youtube and these forums and decided to purchase it. As others have stated in many other reviews, the case itself is everything you'd expect for what you're paying for it. Sturdy, strong, rigid etc and just the right size between feeling it in your pocket and not feeling anything at all. Also the rubber flaps that cover the ports made me extremely happy so that no gunk inside pockets or bags get into them.

However... My only concern with the case (as others have stated) is that the buttons on the silicone/rubber interior casing is extremely difficult to press when going for the power and volume buttons. As this is good in the sense that it won't mess with the buttons while in a backpack or bag etc, it requires quite an amount of effort to get the buttons working with the case. My issue is not with the effort put in but, the worry that by pressing it so hard that I might actually damage the buttons and/or the button's on the pcb. Should I have a worry about this and is it possibly going to damage the phone or is my mind going overdrive because the phone seems so weak? (my nokia e71 could take a thrashing in every sense possible literally) Also I've read how in the states Otterbox just shipped customers a whole new cover with no questions asked whereas here the business I purchased off wants me to put everything back into a bag (even the bloody screen protector on the screen...) and ship it back to the distributor so that they can afterwards mail me a replacement. This is infuriating and I just don't have the time to get all of this organised as I work 9-6, 6 days of the week and the post office is only open during the hours of which I am at work.

Any feedback from previous/current otterbox owners would be greatly appreciated.

Again sorry if my thread isn't up to standards (it's more a help plea)

Thanks

Naz
