Otterbox Commuter Question

I've had the case for a couple days now. Just a few thoughts and a question. I love the tight fit and I feel it will prevent any kind of damage in all but the unluckiest of drops.

Seems the two biggest complaints out there are that it's too slippery and that the side buttons are too hard to push.

I've had no issues with the slickness but I was curious if anyone out there had actually removed the rubber side button covers? I'm sure they would be simple to take off but I am worried if I do that the actual buttons of the S3 would be too deep (from the case) to press.

I was thinking the same thing but I've started to get used to the buttons with the case on. I just wish it was a little easier to remove the case so I could slip it in to the car dock.
I've also started using the center button more to turn on the screen.
