Otterbox Defender Case for the Note 5

Is it just my case? I noticed the s-pen drags on the built in screen protector and the clip holster does not "slapped" and fit very snuggly into the case as my other defender case for the iPhone 5. Anyone has the same experience?

I have the same case, but I actually remove the built in screen protector and buy a different one on amazon. One rated with 9-H hardness.

If I may... Do you cut the screen protector off flush with the edge or do you cut through the adhesive where it attaches to t he shell?

You can just push it off from the inside of the case.
