Otterbox Impact Series Case Now Available

Not sure why you would EVER need a screen protector on the Evo 4G....it's Gorilla glass and cannot be scratched. I've had mine since June '10, never had SP on it and it's as perfect as the day I got it.

I'm looking for a new case to replace the Seidio which finally broke after 1-1/2 yrs but don't want a screen protector.

Just sayin'.

Can't be scratched? Really? Really?

Not a big case guy, but screen protection is a different beast. Why? Because it CAN be scratched. That's why. This GG ish is given too much credit.

It CAN be scratched. It HAS been scratched. One of my two Evo's can attest to that. Other owners can as well.

This "GG is teh invinciblez" is not true. We know this. Not trying to be rude, but it's true. Yeah, GG offers protection not seen by others, but to think it can't be scratched would be incorrect.

Ummm....I've had mine for 21 months, it's as scratch-free as the day I got it, NEVER had a SP. I've actually tried "keying" it several times...won't scratch. Maybe you've got a defective one but mine's as clear as always. Trying to attach a jpeg here, not sure it'll come through very good.

BTW the new GG is said to be even better, meaning it's the same scratch-resistance with better touch-sensitivity.

That's because most keys aren't hard enough to scratch even regular glass. Do a bit of reading, GG is very scratchable. A little bit of grit, one grain of sand, instant scratches. And these things are constantly around in everyday life.

Oops...you're right. Last time I was at the beach it completely ruined it...all those dang grains of sand ya know. I guess I should probably take mine out of the protective box I've kept it in for 2 years.

IOW...I guess we all treat our phones differently. I've used SP on previous phones, don't see the need on this one. If you've got scratches...sucks for you. Mines scratch free and I haven't spent 3 cents on any screen protector.

Again, do some research. Grains of quartz are in everything including dirt. It is EVERYWHERE. There's some mixed in with the lint in the bottom of your pockets. This has been gone over on these forums a million and one times, yet some people are still too hard headed to realize the facts. You can try to scratch your screen with keys and coins all day, it won't do it. It wouldn't do it to regular glass either.

What's bad about your mentality is that you get it in your head that its unscratchable, and then when it scratches you yell, "but I didn't have my keys in the same pocket, it must be defective." We've all read hundreds of posts like that. The reality is that the grit that can and will scratch any glass is constantly around in our every day lives. So, again, do a little research on GG and the Mohs hardness scale so you'll be a bit better informed next time.

Again, READ MY POST: MY PHONE HAS NO SCRATCHES AFTER 2 YEARS.

And, if you bring me your car and a piece of window glass I'll show you how I can scratch them with my keys.

That's nice. You've been lucky. You'll find a ton more phones out there with GG and no screen protector with scratches than without. Congratulations. So, AGAIN, do some research next time so you know what you're talking about before you say GG is unscratchable.

I have an OtterBox case and also a leather case lateral pouch with clip on the belt, and with that my phone is very safe and never suffered a fall, the pair had fallen by my carelessness that went with both cases and nothing happened the leather case I did do as Fortte the page, there you had the case for my phone but not with the OtterBox, so send them over the OtterBox measures and is perfect
