If I'm not mistaken I think it's already available. Rep at AT&T tried to sell me one they had in stock. The wanted $49.95. To expensive in my opinion.

i do not see the otterbox on their site or at&t's maybe he was offering you the ballistic as it is very similar.

Yep, at&t offers the balastic, ghetto box .. Thing is freaking huge! .. I was also looking at side pouches and the things look like a murse.

Was an Otterbox Fan, Now I'm a Ballistic Fan

I've had 4 otterboxes in my life, 1 for my Blackberry 8900, 1 for my Blackberry Curve, 1 for my Blackberry Bold, and 1 for my Samsung Captivate. Just upgraded to the Samsung Infuse, and was sad to find out that there was no otterbox available.

So, at the AT&T store, I sifted through all the cases and stumbled across the Ballistic line. I will say this, 1 of the Ballistic cases SUCKED, and the second I absolutely LOVE. The case is way better than Otterbox. Here's my gripe about Otterbox (please don't get me wrong, Otterbox makes an AWESOME case but...)

The first layer (hard shell) for the Defender line has always scratched and damaged ALL of my phones. Not a lot, but definitely noticeable scratches / wear on the corners. The phone was never in mint condition coming out of an otterbox case. Anyone who has had in Otterbox can attest to this, and it's because with Otterbox, you're putting hard plastic against hard plastic, which rubs, and causes damage.

Ballistic's first layer is the rubber shell, it goes on the phone FIRST, then a hard shell around the rubber shell. And I gurantee you it won't scratch the phone. Here's the case I'm referring to. Amazon.com: Ballistic SG Case for Samsung Infuse 4G i997, Black: Electronics

Just my two cents. Personally, those of you who are looking for a holster for the Samsung 4G, I'd advise you to reconsider. A 4.5 inch phone in a holster is impractical to me. My 4 inch Captivate in an Otterbox with a holster was way to big for me to wear comfortably.

+1 on the SG case. Plus the rubber rim around the face means the screen never touches when you lay the phone face down.

I agree I have the same case it does make the phone seem bigger but idc my phone is protected that's all that matters plus I got the case for free frm at&t

Just buy the Ballistic HC and take off the silicone trim and you will still be 1 up over the SG
