Am I able to easily use my DNA in a different country (Panama)? This is the first phone I've ever had with a SIM card so I don't really grasp the switching off SIM cards, etc. Is it as simple as getting a new SIM card locally and switching it out in the phone? What else would need to be done to make calls and use data?

The DNA has quad band GSM support (850/900/1900/2100 MHz). From what I can tell, Panama uses 850/1900 so it should work with a local sim. Don't know what kind of data speeds they have there though.

I just used mine in Italy for 10 days with no trouble. Just make sure you know what APN you will need for the specific carrier as they may not know what to do at the store there (which is what happened in Italy... I had to take care of setting it up).

It works flawlessly in Panama with all Four (4) Carriers (Cable & Wirless, Claro, Movistar and Digicel) using it right now, make sure you add the APNs and try to stick with claro since its the fastes internet here in Panama. Just in Case here are the APNs:

1. CABLE & WIRELESS: apn01.cwpanama.com.pa
2. MOVISTAR: internet.movistar.pa USERNAME:movistarpa PASSWORD:movistarpa
3. CLARO PANAMA: web.claro.com.pa
4. DIGICEL: web.digicelpanama.com
