Ok. I got mine through AT&T. 512gb ultra with a delivery date of 8/21. Though the woman I spoke to yesterday said that I should get it by Thursday...

I know best buy is showing a delivery of August 31, Verizon is August 25th thru Verizon. I ordered my 512 on the 5th thru Verizon and delivery date didn't change till yesterday, so I should get mine on time. Verizon is usually pretty good on their ordering and availability. At this point if it's late it will be because Samsung didn't provide them.

The 512 variant usually runs out, they don't sell as many so Samsung concentrates on the 128.

Better look again. Some are saying ship by September 4th. Yes you can order them, but they are out of stock for now. The 512 versions are out of stock with no future delivery date, which means could be awhile

Usually you can walk into Best Buy on launch day and they will have some 512GB available. I did this with the S20 Ultra as I missed the pre orders.

Yeah, seems some of the carrier versions of the 512 GB keep going in and out of stock. The unlocked was out of stock and is back available to ship the 19th, I just checked it again. If you guy's are trying to order and missed out if you keep refreshing often you might get lucky. People get cold feet and cancel or their payment is declined and stock may open up.
