Outgoing Calls Appear "Unknown"

Aloha,

I recently upgraded to get a Thunderbolt and don't regret upgrading at all...I love this phone!

Anyway, my situation is pretty minor but I want it fixed ASAP. Every time I make an outgoing call (without area code), it shows up unknown in my call log--though my contacts are saved in my phone and Gmail. Is there a simple quick fix for this problem?

NOTE: All the phone numbers stored in my phone/Gmail include the area code. Ex: 808XXXXXXX

I had the same problem and ended up having to take it in to a verizon store.

Probably because it assumes that the first three numbers you dial are the area code. Since you have no numbers with that area code it is an unknown number. After all, there could be two same 7-digit numbers with different area codes. Best just to step up to the 20th century and dial all 10.
