Outlook android app imap settings disappear every couple of days accessing verizon/aol email

I am using the Outlook email app on my Galaxy S7 to access my Verizon / aol email as well as my outlook.com email. What has been frustrating is the every couple of days I'm prompted to enter my email password to access Verizon/aol email because the imap settings are gone. I manually re-enter the imap settings and everything goes back to normal. I am not having the same issue accessing my outlook.com email even though using the same outlook app.

What is also interesting is my wife is having the exact same issue on her phone (Samsung S6) yet she is accessing a different Verizon/aol email account.

Any idea?

You don't need Outlook if you aren't accessing an Exchange server. AOL isn't one, and I don't think outlook,com is either. Try GMail or some other email app. (Unless your wife is using a different email app - in which case it would be the AOL server, and you'd have to contact them. [Or try accessing the webmail site [with your web browser] before entering your password to see what's going on with the account - and if things are changed there, you can put in a complaint there.)
