Has anyone figured out how to get the outlook app to sync the calendars and contacts from outlook.com?

I have email, calendar and contacts working from both my hotmail account and my office365 work account. also just email for Gmail. Both calendar's are working. There is a toggle switch to make the contacts sync with the phone's contacts though.

Has anyone figured out how to get the outlook app to sync the calendars and contacts from outlook.com?

I gave up on it about two years ago. Synching stopped working without notice and I lost contacts when switching phones. Been using Google for contacts ever since.

I've been doing the same thing as you.

Well I have the mail working and the calendar working but the contacts are not working importing into Outlook. I get contacts just not current contacts. I also setup on the phone a MS exchange account for outlook.com as well as the normal outlook.com account. I'm not sure if that will cause a problem or not? Everything syncs the way it should with the built in calendar and contacts app.
I think I saw someplace that MS shut off the contacts syncing for now but I cant find where I saw that. Maybe thats the problem.

Also can you have more then one app syncing the contacts, calendar and email?

If you're trying to sync to Google, you need to be a Google... What the hell is the business class account called? There's no fully integrated method for personal users... I just have the Outlook app loaded and use the internal Outlook calendar for that side.

it works great now that they added syncing. select your Outlook account then there is a sync slide button. that will sync the contacts with you phone

Well I'm getting some kind of syncing for contacts but if I look at the outlook contacts on my computer and sort them the same way as the phone I have extra contacts on the phone. Most of them are duplicates but with just an email address instead of all the information from the contact. The contacts online are all correct I'm just not sure why the phone is having issues with some of the contacts. Is there a way to have the phone app sort the contacts the same way I do online?

I also have a MS outlook exchange account setup with for outlook.com in addition to a normal outlook account. I did that to get the calendar and contacts to sync with the pre installed apps. I'm not sure if that is an issue or not?

My guess at this point is things are not getting updated. If I make a change on the phone it does not sync over to online. I also have some contacts that I can't edit on the phone.

Do you guys that have outlook working have an exchange account and a plain outlook account setup on the phone?

The Outlook app doesn't sync to your calendar. I add my Outlook email to Gmail to have my Outlook events show up on my calendar.

look for the slide button that says sync contacts. that will sync you contacts with your phone

For Contacts and Calendar, I add an Exchange account (Not outlook.com) for the account in the phone account settings (Not in Outlook app) and enable those 2 sliders. If you have 2-factor auth enabled you'll need to generate an app password (From your account settings page) to use in this configuration.

Does anyone know how to get your hotmail.com or outlook.com calendars to work with the calendar app on the phone? Gmail shows up of course cause it's android I assume.

See my post right above yours. You add the account as an Exchange account not an outlook.com account. (Choose option sliders for Mail, contacts, calendar if you want any of them synched to the device for use in the stock apps.)

Oh OK. I thought you had to have an exchange account. Thanks man!
