I have tried using the Outlook for Android app on my S10. Does anyone notice it drains the battery faster than the Samsung Native Email app? Do you need to let the app "settle" a few days? I would like to use it but not at the expense of the battery drain. Thanks!

I use it and have not noticed any excessive battery drain.

The third time’s a charm. No noticeable affect on battery. Perhaps you should remove and reinstall.

It's mostly personal preference & familiarity with the name. Also, the fact that it's available on most platforms doesn't hurt.

Why is Outlook better than the native app or the Gmail app?
Looks better.
More user settings available. Share and printing is a lot better.
But i use protonmail now. And as for my gmail. I just have it on refresh for new mail.
Uninstalled outlook, especially because it won't open pst files.

I hated the focused option and threading email. I found it hard to follow a conversation with multi companies..replying to my self lol

I've been using outlook for a while now and haven't noticed any more power drain, I also like the outlook interface

I used outlook on a windows phone a few years back. Didn't like it then. Since, I've noticed MS apps seem to work better on android ironically. Currently use the BlackBerry hub app, but it's a $.99 monthly fee. This thread inspires me to try it again

This is nothing like the Windows phone app. If you use an MS mail provider it is especially good

I like the look/layout of Outlook better than BB Hub, but the BB inbox functions slightly better than Outlook.

BB Hub integrates better with the stock calendar, phone and contacts apps, which I prefer. Outlook weirdly provides notifications of emails, but then when you go to the app it has to refresh to get the emails. Also it does not always clear notifications from the notification panel when I read them in the app. Outlook also occasionally uses a different (weird) font for reply emails. Relatively minor things, but BB Hub does a better job with them. I was using BB Hub long before Outlook was working very well for Android. I probably would not subscribe to the 99 cents a month now with the way the Outlook app works. I would also note that Outlook for ios still has more features than it does for Android, which is annoying.

BB hub concentrates all your messaging in one place. It was the flagship feature of the now defunct BB10 OS. The android version is almost as good. It's free if you have a " Gooberry ". On other devices its free with Ads or ad free for a .99 $ per month. I currently have the subscription on my N10+
