Outlook Notifications

When I receive an email notification on Microsoft Outlook I get the sound notification twice. In other words it is beeping twice instead of once.

The exact same thing is happening on my S8+ after the update.
Every time I get an email notification from Outlook app, the notification chime sounds twice.

I was actually looking to see if anyone else reported it when I found your post.

I just did some Googling and it looks like this is a known issue that has affected other phones after updating to Oreo.

Microsoft is blaming it on the Oreo update.

If I do happen to come across a fix, I will update here.

Well.. y'all lucky to get the notification only twice. I get it like 7 times in a row each time I'm getting an email. I don't know if it's because I have 5 accounts connected and it reminds me of the other unread or something but it's sooo annoying. It started with the update.

Also, the day before yesterday, my phone suddenly received like 100 notifications from my fb page manager. Like all unread posts I got in the last 3 months and was ignoring, started sending me notifications. My phone wouldn't stop vibrating and ringing for like a whole minute, I had to force stop fb page manager and deactivate notifications to make sure it won't happen again (would be really annoying in an important meeting)

Please samsung, do something

I'm in the same boat as jessik972. I get anywhere from 2 to 10 notifications over 1 email. As this is work email, this is stressing me out Hoping for a fix soon.

Honestly, I think Google really screwed the pooch with Oreo. It added virtually nothing while totally changing how notifications are handled. Android is now so complicated, I can't imagine how non-tech savvy folks an set it up and maintain it.

I do like the Galaxy S8 hardware...the software -- including Bixby -- is underwhelming!
