Question Overall Phone Look

Hi All,

I'm not even quite sure how to ask this. Last night I went to install a notes application. Just something simple. The application installed and all of a sudden my phone looks completely different. I use to be able to swipe left or right to go to another page for the different apps. I also use to have the Google microphone and search icons on the search bar on the front screen. I was able to add widgets to the Home Screen, and all. Now I only have a main Home Screen, and I have to scroll up and down all in one page to see the apps. It's like the phone got a facelift overnight. I hope I'm describing this well and hoping someone might know what happened? Not sure if I hit a setting that I didn't realize or what.

It sounds like you added a third party launcher that's why your home screen looks different, find OneUi launcher and make it default

First what app, by name, was it that you were trying to download? That will tell us more about your issue.

If you did accidentally change your launcher this would be how to change it back.

Changing the launcher on your Samsung Galaxy Note 20 FE, or any Android device, allows you to customize the look and feel of your home screen and app drawer.
Here's how to change the launcher on your Note 20 FE:

1. Open Settings: You can find the settings app in your app drawer or by swiping down from the top of the screen and tapping the gear icon.
2. Find Apps: In the settings menu, locate and tap on "Apps" or "Applications".
3. Choose Default Apps: Find and tap on "Choose default apps".
4. Select Home app: Tap on "Home app" or "Launcher".
5. Choose your desired launcher: You'll see a list of installed launchers. Select the one you want to use as your default launcher.

To revert to the default Samsung launcher (One UI Home):
Simply repeat the steps above and select "One UI Home" from the list of launchers.
Note: If you install a new launcher and press the home button, you may see a pop-up asking which launcher you want to use. You can select "Always" to set that launcher as your default. If you want to change it back later, follow the steps above to access the default app settings.

Have you gotten the One UI 7 update already? While updates like this play different, you can't use the device while it happens, the device restarts, it's just different than installing an app, but that's provided you were watching the phone and didn't walk away or wake up to it. Will you also tell us what OS and UI version you're on?

Thank you all for the feedback! You were spot on, somehow I allowed it to switch to a different launcher. Learned something new! So you can have more than one launcher to choose from? Didn't know that
