I love Android

Anyone have an idea how will this work? Is it a thing where you download it and install in clockwork recovery via ROM Manager, then it opens up the options in SetCPU or something? Verrrrry cool. I was about to run through El Poblano's how-to (probably still will just to learn), but this is awesome.

Lol, we need to merge threads. But... The only difference with this file is that beesley put up an already customized set scaling.sh. So this will place over clock.ko and setscaling.sh in their correct places with permissions, but it's nearlythe same process, and modifying the values will be the same as in the how to.

Excellent - Thanks (for the how-to and the tip)!

+1 on the thread merging, my bad.

If I merge the threads, El Poblano's instructional post will no longer be the first post in the thread since they are organized by the date and time posted so it will be all mixed up.

Is the insmod in terminal emulator what you do after a reboot? I tried without the 100 and got the not found but set cpu still says 1.380?

I am looking for a little help.
I Download the overclock using ROM manager, install it , then i go to my better terminal emulator and type...

su(enter)
insmod/system/lib/modules/overclock.ko(enter)
setscaling100.sh(enter)

when i finish with the second line i get ( no such file exists) , then type the 3rd line and get rebooted.

Am i doing something incorrect? Thank you for the help.

Your phone can't handle it. You'll have to play around with the values to see what your phone likes.

i used beesleys app in ROM manager . I am not familiar with changing the values to find a stable setting . i was able to get it working for 5 min , then crashed. could you give me some info to change values.

I've had Beesleys running for 24 hour now, no reboots! I feel lucky! :) Ill give it a couple more days, and if its still good, I'll make it stick on reboot!
