Overclocking help

I have tried searching for this across multiple forums but haven't had much luck.. I have the Droid on 2.1 and it is rooted. I tried the custom roms and was able to overclock there but there was just some bugs in the roms i used so I went back to basic 2.1 rooted.. Is there a way to overclock at this point. I didn't want to push a new kernel on without know if it would work properly.. any advice would be appreciated.. thank you!

Check out the Koush/cyangogenmod rom. It's stable and super fast. There's also a thread in that forum that for bekit kernels which ran great when I used it.

yea, i did run cyanogen for a little bit, but thought i liked the stock feel with the extras of being rooted.. can you use those kernels for a basic version or do those only work for the custom roms?

Yea it you have 2.1 rooted with Petes ESE81 just use any of the Overclock kernels he has on the same page..... im running mine with 1.2 Chevy kernel
