Overflow button for legacy apps - 3 dots inside gray circle

I have a Samsung Galaxy 6. Before the Marshmallow update I had the overflow button for legacy apps. It has 3 dots inside of a gray circle. I used that for a legacy game for my phone to get to the settings. It doesn't come up anymore for the legacy game. Was wondering if anyone knew how to get it back or if there's a app in Google Play that will do the same thing.
Please advise.
