Whenever I charge my S6 my charger overheats and the phone usually goes to 90-100 degrees and I don't use it while it charges.

You do realize fast charging is not linear in speed but tapers off in speed after a a certain point. It's the reason why the S6 can charge to 20-40% from 0% after only 10 minutes but takes an hour or more to reach 100% charge. No I don't but I find it weird that my charger is heating up and it slows the fast charging down

In that case you could have a defective phone, charger, or cable. First make sure that the cable is snug on both the charger side and phone side.Yes I do, but I charge it from 40-80 throughout and about 20-30 mins later it's only at 48 or 49. I touched the USB and it was hot

So the phone will tell me if/when it's overheating? I didn't know it would do that without a third-party app installed.Do you get an overheat message? If not then the phone isn't overheating.

If it doesn't overheat on another outlet, eliminates the outlet as the issue. In that case you could have a defective phone, charger, or cable. First make sure that the cable is snug on both the charger side and phone side.
