Overheating and charging issues after 4.3

Back when I had 4.1.2, I would mormally leave my phone next to my pillow and it would sit there and charge overnight, no big deal. But I woke up in the middle of the nightc(tonight after 4.3) and noticed that my phone was charging very slowly (barely 20%) in 4 hours and VERY hot. I have personally never felt my phone ever be this hot, like ever. Luckily I have a Cruzerlite case on it, but even then, I can feel the heat. Is this something common or should I feel worried/ concerned?

Download a heat monitoring app and if its excessively high you can always claim a warranty replacement.

Its best to use original charges and cables but I know often that isn't possible.

I have had this issue only once before. It was a bit warm in my room, and I noticed I had a game running in the background before bed, but I wasn't playing it. It has been fine since then, even after the 4.3 update. Original accessories is important, clear background apps regularly, charge with phone off and out of case if possible, and keep battery saver in my opinion.
