Overly warm tablet?

I don't use my tablet often but today I was using it I noticed that in the middle to upper right hand corner on the back side it seems to be getting pretty darn warm. Then it would cool down some and get warm again. Is this normal?

It depends on what you do. A lot of people reported warming up especially after the latest update. But if you're using a CPU intensive app like a game with cool graphics or a processing app, then it'll start warming up. If you're browsing or streaming video, this would also cause it to get a little bit hot.

It is a common thing when you use resource-intensive apps for some time and the tablet gets really warm. So probably you won't have to worry about it.

Do you have GPS turned on? Maybe something is using GPS more frequently, which could increase battery use and temp.

Nope my tablet is only used at home.

You might go into settings and check the battery stats to see what is using enough power to make the tablet hot.

MIne only gets hot when the grandkids are playing HayDay or some kind of cube game. My average usage (email, browsing, YouTube) doesn't cause any or much noticeable increase in temp.
