Override hiding of home touch buttons?

I know about the setting to choose apps where you specifically want to hide the home touch buttons... but how about the other way around? Is there a way that I can, for example, have it show buttons on the camera app?

I did not know that! Thanks! I always thought why is this stock app does not have home buttons row.

But there are times when I sure wish I didn't have to swipe from the bottom to get them to show. I come from a Samsung, so old habits are hard to kill.

Can you alter the functions of the home touch buttons? I too am an expat from Samsung, and would prefer to tweak some things. I am aware you can have up to 5 down there, but I would love it if I could just arrange the 3 so they resemble and function like the home keys on my previous GS4.

Yes, you can rearrange them. I've got Back on the right and Tasks/settings on the left.

Too bad you can't make them transparent like the G3 and G2.
