Oversaturated colors in games

I got my S7 Edge today and am generally enjoying it thus far. One small complaint that I have is that some apps seem to be... I don't know. Really oversaturated so far as colors go? Like entirely too vivid, which is not a problem when looking at the home screen and the menus. Almost as if the phone were switching to a horrible, brainburning Instagram filter whenever I launch a game.

I've found the adaptive display settings and even setting this for 'basic' doesn't correct the problem. Has anyone else encountered this particular problem? Is there a way to manually adjust the color settings?

Any advice toward solving this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I haven't found this to be a problem, but I do know that some applications override the display setting chosen in settings.

Can you please give examples of titles that do this?

Check for updates from your carrier. Mine was the same at launch, but the first update fixed it.

Clash of Clans used to do this for me as well. I switched the phone to AMOLED Photo and the problem went away.

I'll update in a bit. I managed to lock myself out of my phone today and am dealing with that right now.

For what it's worth, there are no carrier updates available just yet (Verizon) and the only two apps tested thus far are Final Fantasy Record Keeper and Puzzle x Dragons, as I did those early to ensure the accounts transferred over properly. I'll try others (and check the adaptive display setting suggested above) once I am back in my phone again.

For Me the problem was fixed by gamecenter Options Set correctly. I Just disabled it completely.

And what options would these be? The only options I see for the new game stuff is to enable or disable it -- neither makes a difference. The only thing that's had an impact thus far has been marlin's suggestion to change display settings to AMOLED Photo, which does seem to work at the cost of making everything else on the phone look awful.

If you use power save of any kind in the game optimizer app, the colors get wrecked. Turn it off.

What is this game optimizer app? All I can find in the OS related to games are the game launcher and the game overlay, both of which are disabled.
