Hopefully the T-Mobile version will get an update soon.

Meanwhile, T-MOBILE 6T still on 9.0 OOS LOL.

That's latency for you, even on a device that has a super light Android skin....which shouldn't take too much effort to tweak. That and the dual SIM card slot are the reasons I stayed away from the carrier version.

If you are on the global OnePlus 6T firmware you can...

  • Install Oxygen Updater, free from the Play Store and update using that.
  • Download and flash it manually (see post #990 , here)
  • Use a VPN and download it from , say, Canada or Germany.

If you own the T-Mobile carrier minority variant you are screwed until T-Mobile (USA) eventually decide on an update.

Welp 🙃

Still no always on display though.

I use ClockPlus DayDream from the Play Store to automatically start when the phone is either charging or docked and I have Clock and New notifications set in Ambient display for when the phone is asleep and undocked/charging. Admittedly you have to tap the screen or move the phone to see the display or it will show new notifications automatically. Saves battery this way.
