I also thought he was white..( no offense). But I'm with both of you on this one, the marketing for the rezound before was acceptable, But really "black music month"? Out of all the other months they had to push a promo for it during black music month as if blacks are the only ones that have purchased or are interested in purchasing this phone. I wonder if they will promo a phone during any other months dealing with a particular race?
Btw I too am black, and I didn't know it was black music month either lol.
LOL, I guess I seem white to the few people left that I haven't gtalked through a crisis or two. This used to be my avatar but I liked the agent thing better;

Can we have a white music month too? My Barry Manilow, Bee Gees, Kansas (the list goes on) LPs sound so much better with beats as well...

So, can we talk about this ad for a minute?
1. Does it bother anyone else than only a half year ago, we paid $300 for the Rezound? And now it's down to $80.
2. Huh? "Black Music Month"? I'm fairly certain my black friends don't even know what that is. But of course, this would align perfectly with Verizon's marketing scheme for the Rezound. The only commercials I've ever seen for it were with some black kids walking around town using the Beats ear buds. And apparently, since now that it's Black Music Month, everyone should go buy a phone to hear 'black music' like it should be heard?
Awesome campaign![]()
As a black person, I take offense with this line of marketing. I mean I know we shuck and jive with the best of em but Verizon we shall pick your cotton no more.
So am I allowed to sue them now or did I just negate that possibility with the last paragraph?

Personally I always thought we were all Android green.
Don't know what to say about "Black" Music month, not even sure if I ever heard of it :-\
Last I knew this is the way technology works. You buy a gadget @ Price A and 6 mos down the road same gadget is half the original price or less. Getting po'd is a waste of time and energy. If you're gonna have gadgets may as well just accept this as fact and save your anger for something really important.All kidding aside, I'd be pissed if I paid the original 300 for this.
