P20 Pro rear glass bulging

I noticed my case wasn't fitting right today and noticed the rear glass cover was starting to come away from the body. I've read some people experience this with the P20 Pro but could this be a bulging battery and if so should it not be used?

It sounds like a bulging battery. What was the cause for the other people with a similar experience?

Huawei was doing a back glass replacement on the P20 as people had problems with the glue unsticking. I didn't know if it was a glass problem or battery. I guess your only option is to have someone look at it. A bulging battery could be unstable.

I am looking into quotes at the mo. I did remove the back and it is spongy. It is off and in a metal case. Thanks for the help
