P30 & P30 Pro (Who's in?)

Still very happy with my Mate 20 pro and Note 9...will wait for Mate 30 Pro and Note 10

I put my pre-order in for a P30 Pro 256 GB a couple of days ago. Gets here on the 11th. Can't wait to check it out. Coming from the LG G6 (G5, G4, G3) and an iPhone 8 (which aside from the build quality, I hate.... Work supplied, I really tried to to give it a good solid effort on learning it but after almost a month I still don't like it).

I use my phone camera heavily at work, often in low light conditions... so I'm looking forward to seeing how great this camera has been hyped up to be.

I still have my P20 Pro. Okay I gave it to my Mother, she was complaining about poor battery life with her SAMSUNG Galaxy A8.

Design wise it does look bland compared to my S10 or when I had my OnePlus 6. Honestly it got my attention because of the Twilight color. I had no problems giving it up once the S10 was released. Even the Note 9, I didn't wanna sell it but can't afford to keep it.

Huawei did improve it a little but not enough to buy it.

P30 Pro is better than the S10+ in pretty much every way, cameras, performance, battery life, charging, signal, extra features etc. The battery life difference between the regular P30 and S10 is huge.

That's one thing I've noticed between my LG G6 and P30 Pro. The signal strength while it appears very similar, is quite a bit stronger on my P30. Where I live, if I don't stand in the exact right location, my G6 either won't connect to make the call, or drops the call.

You would think Vancouver Island would have full coverage by 2019... I remember when I had my first phone in 1997 and it was borderline deplorable back then lol.

If anyone's interested, B&H has the P30 up for preorder for $599 (Latin America Variant, works with U.S. GSM carriers) which includes a Ting $120 starter kit and a B&H one year limited warranty.

Huawei really have Signal locked down. I remember using the Mate 10 Pro alongside my Galaxy Note8 and 99% of the time the Mate 10 Pro managed to keep a stronger signal vs. the Note8, which would drop signal in some parts of the house.

The P30 Pro has the strongest signal I have ever seen in a modern smartphone, it keeps 3 bars of my WiFi at home in my room where the Note8 and iPhone X would absolutely drop the WiFi connection altogether. The Mate 20 Pro was very good to, but the P30 Pro seems to be using a new antenna design that is a lot more optimal.

Should blame Huawei for not putting out a unlocked phone where it will work on any carrier
Isn't huaweis policy that they don't allow for their phones to be locked by any carrier ? Here in EU at least in Croatia,Huawei devices are unlocked for all carriers aswell as the LG.
