P6 unlocked 5G UW

I was in Dallas last week and the phone showed I was getting 5G UW. I was toldl/ thought the P6 unlocked was not capable of this on Verizon.
Thoughts? I couldn't check speed because I was passing through.

They were originally marketed as not having the chipset/antenna for 5GUW. That was supposed to explain the big difference in price and - a camera.

I might be wrong but I thought the main difference between the Unlocked and Verizon model was the Verizon model has 5G mmWave support (which only works in limited areas anyway)? I thought all Pixel 6's were capable of the mid-band 5G UW once the certification was completed and the update pushed it out to us?

On Verizon devices, both C-band and mmwave show up on the display as 5Guw.
