One of the posts in that thread mentions uninstalling Google Play Services and then re-installing it via the play store to potentially fix drain/excessive use from "Android System" which is what I'm definitely experiencing.

A) How do I do that? B) Is that true? C) Is there any drawbacks to doing that?

Hi to all, this is my first time replying on this thread. I have purchased the full version of Package Disable Pro and it works wonderful, just as if my Galaxy Note 5 was rooted, though it is not. Well worth the $1.99 to buy if you do not want to root. You could also lock the app itself and they just put a new feature where you could now lock the notification bar!

When my Note 5 upgraded to Marshmallow Package Disabler Pro stopped working. That turned out to be a blessing leading me to discover something even better: EZ Package Disabler that works the same but with a much better and faster user interface. Each item has a description of what the app/service does (where available).

I have Pdpro but might try this out still to see how I like it since I have some extra play store credit.

This app works a little too good for god sake, I first tried the "disable all bloatware" button and it absolutely does what it advertises and then some. Should have paid better attention! Anyway, it removes or I should say it disables 100 services, please pay-attention here, it removed all my email accounts. I enabled everything back but only 99 services were re-enabled, my email was not...:p....easy enough to put mail accounts back but annoying to say the lest. I then tried manually checking what I didn't want, this time NOT checking the email app service, clicked "disable" wallah the mail still went away but yet again. Yea baby, here we go one-more-time! :-$ OK, uninstall-reinstall the app, this time check only a few items to disable, BAM! There goes my mail again! Just gone for peat sake! This app is hell-bent to take out my mail...Alright guys I want my .99 back, I'm done.
