Pairing Droid with Jetta TDI

I recently bought a 2010 Jetta TDI (great car by the way) and I am having trouble pairing my droid incredible (froyo 2.2) to my car. I will admit that I don?t know that much about phones and any advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated. When I pair my phone with the car it says initializing and then it begins to download the contact list, which it does not. But, it does pair with the device so I can make calls from it using the car bluetooth. Also, the biggest concern is that the call quality is absolutely terrible. I can hear the person crystal clear but the person on the other end can?t hardly hear and understand me at all. The person on the other end says that it sounds like I am in a wind tunnel. Any help on how I can get my contacts to download to the car and to increase the call quality would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Apparently there are a number of people having problems with pairing and connecting to their cars after installing Froyo. I had no problems with 2.1 but since the upgrade to 2.2 my Dinc just continues to try and pair to my car. Hopefully HTC or Verizon will do some type of fix, as this can be a real problem in areas where driving without a hands free device is illegal.
