Pandora - Galaxy S9 plus Issue

I recently upgraded from a Galaxy S7 to the S9+. Before the upgrade, I could plug my phone into my Honda and operate Pandora through Android Auto on the vehicle display screen. Now when I plug my phone in, Pandora will open on the vehicle screen but will not actually play music unless I open it on my phone….even then I can’t change ‘stations’. This seems to be a Pandora issue as Spotify works just fine. Anyone else had/having this issue?

Did you activate the auto option in Pandora's setting (on the phone app...can't remember exactly how they call it, but it's something about auto control or auto accessory).

Sure did....Settings -> Advanced -> Enable AutoLaunch

I have tried a new cable, deleting and re-installing both apps, yelling at it, punching it...nothing seems to work.

If you have access to a different Android Auto unit I'd try it there (or if you have another phone that can connect to yours, preferably a non-S9 but with the same Pandora version) try that to see if it's a device issue or if it is, indeed, a bug that Pandora needs to fix.

When the S9 just came out I do remember Pandora having issues with Toyota's Entune suite, so maybe this is a similar issue? (IIRC users reported it and it got fixed soon after).
