Help, my samsung note 9 somehow now shows some kind of panel in the left side of screen during games. When I touch it or slide it to the right, it works as screen lock for accidental touch. When I long press, I can only move it along the left side of the screen. Anyone can guide me where I can disable this feature? Screenshot here https://pasteboard.co/gwrGP1WeGImr.jpg

Thanks

Re: Screen lock during game

Just found it! It was the floating icon in game launcher plus...

Why is there a grey swipe tab on the left side of full screen games.

I went to play some games and noticed this swipe tab there on the left now.
It was never there before.
Very annoying that it stays there and blocks some buttons during games.

This is in landscape mode full screen games. It is not the edge panel. Touching it brings up the home, back, and other buttons.

I'm trying to find an answer to this too.

Here is a screenshot.
Left side top, there is a grey swipe tab thingy overlaid.

How did you get rid of it? I looked in the settings of game launcher plus , all floating things are turned off but its still there.

There is a button that appeared recently and I can't figure out how to get rid of it.

It's a grey like silde tab button thing in the corner of any full screen game.

I can hold it to move it up and down on the left.

Swiping it, makes the screen dark and the buttons (home, back, etc) appear.

Found it.
Swipe down from the top to get to notification area.
Game booster plus has some running services.
One of them is show or hide floating icon. Toggle it to make it go away.

I'm also struggling with how to remove this. It seems related to a recent software update on SM-N976U from AT&T pushed update. This little panel wasn't there before this update. I've tried toggling all Game Booster settings, tried deactivating the overlay option in the notification panel, and looked through any accessibility settings that could cause it. I play multiple games that require touches close to that edge of the screen and it's making it unplayable because it's in the way no matter where I move it along that side if the screen. It would be nice to at least know what they call this slide panel to know where to look for turning it off, if it can even be turned off at all.

Welcome to AC!
What about without game launcher?

Thanks for the welcome!

I didn't think to turn Game Launcher completely off, but that looks to have corrected it. Thank you! I'll just avoid using Game Launcher altogether now.

It's strange they decided to add this partial screen lock function without a setting to toggle it off, without completely turning game launcher off. It doesn't seem to offer much purpose since anyone can just lock the screen with a power/lock button press. And the screen timeout option is a similar partial screen lock like this, just with actual text and the ability to toggle it in game settings.

Thank you for the quick reply!
