Panorama Camera Mode only shoots in 640x480

Ok, I might be the only guy on the planet who gets jazzed about panoramic capabilities of a camera, but I have taken about 50 hi resolution pics all over the world that are printed and framed, and make great art for the house. So when I learned that the new Samsung Infuse was a 8mb camera with panoramic capabilities I ran and purchased the phone. The only problem is that in panoramic mode Samsung made the decision to only allow panoramics t be shot at 640x480 frame resolutions that are stitched together...are you friggin kidding me? I should also mention that I have a Samsung Solstice which also takes panoramics; however, the solstice only has a 2mb camera....but even the solstice shoots at a higher resolution in panoramic mode than the infuse...man, this is frustrating...does anyone else care about this feature? Is there any possibility for them to upgrade this feature so that it takes full advantage of the 8mb resolution capabilities?

I noticed this too,so turned to the android market for an app.I'm still going threw a few of them,but so far photaf panorama 3D seems to be the better resolution on my panorama pics
