Partitioning SD card.

I was curious to know if I could use my computer to partition the XD card for apps2SD. I am using Linux and am able to partition in Ext 2 Ext 3 and Ext 4.

Background I am using a Class 6 16 GB card.

First question how big do I need to make the swap partition?
Second Question How big should I make the Ext partition?
Third question can I partition it using Ext 4 or will Android even recognize it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I make my swap 32mb.
For Android apps which most are on the KB size? Id give it 2gb and thats exagerating it (I have a 2gb card, I give my swap 32mb, EXT 8 hundred*something*mb and the rest for storage).
AfaIk, only Fresh Toast supports EXT4 for now.

Thanks for the info. I think I will be fine with the EXT3 than.
