Pause Audio player from Lock screen

On the Droid X I used to be able to play/pause music without unlocking the screen first. I can't recall if that was with a certain player or not. Is that still possible?

Yes, in the stock player (My Music) you can.

And the Amazon music player gives you the option, but you must activate it in the setting once you switch to "player".

PowerAmp does this if set in the options. The lock screen overlay also allow track and album/playlist changes. It also has the option to start/stop playing when you plug or unplug your earbuds. It was the first app that I paid for and worth every penny.

Or get Widget Locker and you can do a lot more than just control your music from the lock screen
