pcm files

I have a bunch of pcm files in my Note 9 memory. not in a folder but right on the internal memory built in SD card.

What app might put these in my phone? I have no idea what they are.

Do the filenames make any sense, or are they just a bunch of characters strung together?

No sense. I tried an app that plays them but unintelligible static and noise over a voice.

Could be but if so not nearly enough files. I only have 7 or 8 of them.

Hard to pinpoint. Check your system settings to see what apps have Microphone permission, and see if there are any apps that clearly don't need it.

True, but I wonder why it would be staticky (unless it was some kind of noise cancellation in action)?

The app I used has all sorts of manual settings. I just used the default settings.

If nobody else here has these mysterious pcm files I know it needs to be pursued more.
