The case feels great in hand; soft buttery leather that's very well made. The Flyer slides into the case from the top and is held by three tabs. The tabs provide a tight fit (I shook the Flyer while in the case and it didn't budge) and are covered in leather so scratching will not be an issue. There is a magnetized closure flap that works well although a snap closure would have been better. The Flyer sits up in portrait mode and has two viewing angles. Landscape viewing is possible but sits at an awkward angle on a table. The pen holder provides a nice tight fit so there will no issues with the pen falling out. The only downside I can see so far is the Flyer not being able to charge while the case is closed.

The $79 price tag is a bit high but based on what I have seen from Best Buy's offerings, it's definately worth the extra money. PDair also makes a book style that would be great for landscape viewing.

I was originally worried about the turnaroud time coming from Hong Kong but I placed my order on June 20th and it was at my door on the 28th. Shipping is free

Looks like they have brown and red too. It's a shame we can't get a quality cases like these from a U.S. manufacture.

Thanks a lot!

We could get these from a U.S. manufacturer if we paid the wages other countries pay their workers. I won't get all political and start ranting about NAFTA, but....I remember when the Germans wanted Levi's and would pay $150.00 for a pair of them because they were imported. After NAFTA, they can buy them for $40.00 in the Euro equivalent, but they are made in Mexico. The premise of it was to allow people to buy goods from anywhere without all the tariffs, but all it did was export all of our manufacturing overseas with cheaper labor to maximize profits for the big corporations. Welcome to Corporate America, Version 2.0

My pleasure. What really bothers me is going to a store and seeing everything under the sun for Apple products and slim pickins for other manufactures. If you end up grabbing one, let me know what you think.

I'm one of those instant gratification people and have a really hard time ordering and waiting for something. I bought the rocketfish one that holds the tab really good, and is leather. It's like a notebook, and uses a magnet to close. Looks nice, but doesn't hold the frickin' pen! I'll come up with something for that though.

Agreed, I hate waiting for things to arive though the mail. I too considered the RocketFish but held off after reading about a few people having issues with the black rubbing off onto the white ends of the Flyer. As for the pen, a hot glue gun and some black elastic from a craft store should to the trick.
